Biography

Emalie works as the Graduate Assistant for the Office of Student Conduct & Community Standards at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Prior to joining the Vols family to pursue her M.S. in College Student Personnel, she received two Bachelor of Arts degrees in psychology and education studies & human relations from the University of Iowa in 2023. Emalie has worked in a variety of roles across the higher education field, from multiple roles within university admissions to program assistant at student wellness.

She is committed to helping students become the best versions of themselves academically, professionally, and personally. From her hometown in the big city of Miami, Florida, to the small town of Iowa City, Iowa, and now Knoxville, Tennessee, Emalie’s experiences in these vastly different environments have given her a unique perspective into student affairs and its operations. Without accountability, there is no growth, and Emalie plans to apply this philosophy in her work at Student Conduct & Community Standards. In her free time, Emalie works on the third novel in her published trilogy, loves exploring everything the eastern Tennessee region has to offer, watching documentaries, hanging out with friends, and caring for her two cats.
