Administrative Specialist II
Colin was born and raised in Knoxville, TN. He earned his Bachelors of Business Administration from East Tennessee State University in 2008 and moved to Nashville, where he worked in politics for several years.
In 2012, Colin joined the United States Air Force and was stationed at MacDill AFB, Tampa FL. Colin believes he had the best job in the Air Force as he was part of a specialized Marine Patrol Section providing maritime law enforcement and port security for the 6th Air Mobility Wing. It was here that he developed a passion for training and guiding young adults through various life and professional challenges.
In 2018, Colin separated from the USAF, returned to Knoxville, and went to work for his Fraternity brother’s start-up accounting firm, Abacus Hive. While developing a strategic 5-year business plan, benchmarks, and key performance indicators, Colin simultaneously pursued his MBA at the University of Tennessee. Colin graduated from the Professional MBA program in December of 2020 and decided to pursue a career in higher education.
Colin is looking forward to combining his education and experience to help college students navigate some of the difficulties they might face at the University of Tennessee and beyond.
